French Armed Forces Ministry Unveils Immersive Metaverse Experience with Landvault

We're pleased to announce our collaboration with the French Armed Forces Ministry to launch an exciting and immersive virtual world experience. Our partnership with Wold, the agency of record for the French Armed Forces Ministry, has made this visionary project possible. Appointed to build the French Army their first experience in the metaverse platform Decentraland, we brought our expertise in metaverse technology to deliver this innovative and engaging experience.
Launched on September 19, 2023, the initiative is aimed at engaging and recruiting talents within the 18-35 age group. Offering an immersive virtual training course within Decentraland, simulating a military training experience, the build features an obstacle course set in a military environment with different outposts, each offering a unique theme and challenge.
At each outpost, participants are immersed in a blend of gamified challenges including videos, NPCs, and interactive quizzes that must be successfully completed to unlock exclusive wearables and progress to the next stage. Beyond pure entertainment, these elements are designed to educate participants about the skills and values essential to military service. Approximately 500 wearables have been redeemed by users since the launch, signifying the success and engagement of the metaverse experience.
Once conquering the third outpost, participants unlock more than just a virtual parachute for an exhilarating descent back to the starting point. They gain direct access to a unique recruitment link that offers a fresh and approachable way to explore job opportunities within the French Armed Forces Ministry. As an additional layer of excitement and competition, a leaderboard tracks participants' quiz scores and race completion times, rewarding top performers with a camouflage suit wearable for their virtual avatar.
In essence, this immersive metaverse experience goes beyond traditional recruitment methods, engaging a younger audience through gamification. It positions the French Army as a government institution venturing into the metaverse, fundamentally altering the way individuals approach military careers, and highlighting an innovative and engaging path forward.
