Wow! After almost 7 years of hard work, Landvault was just acquired by Infinite Reality for $450M, a US-based company with a very similar vision, powering the next generation of digital media and e-commerce through AI and immersive technologies.

Infinite Reality owns a portfolio of companies and assets including the Drone Racing League, virtual production studio Thunder Studios, web game engine Ethereal Engine, and various other companies which together, create a one-stop-shop platform to enter the future of the internet. Landvault becomes Infinite Reality enterprise arm and will continue to operate with a core focus on the Middle East region. The deal is currently a share deal, but the company announced a $350 million investment today, which will be deployed into growth ahead of their public listing in September. This means more resources to grow and build awesome tech to support our clients and partners!

For our clients and partners, this acquisition doesn’t affect our operations. We will continue to operate as usual. Landvault remains Landvault (by Infinite Reality), providing you with top-notch service and technology. Over the next few months, you’ll see our products and services technology evolve to better support enterprise clients, new capabilities emerge, and a larger investment across the MENA region.

As we embark on a new adventure together with the Infinite Reality team towards an even bigger outcome, I want to reflect on the journey getting to where we are. It wasn’t a straight line to success.

I started thinking about the company back in late 2016, as I was running an indie game studio. It was obvious to me that virtual worlds (in various forms, from games to experiences) were gaining traction and with this, the tools necessary to grow and monetize them. It took some time to line up a core founding team and seed investment and we officially started as an adtech company for games in 2018, under the name Admix. For the next 2 years, we grew the company through 2 successive funding rounds totalling about $35M in investment. This lined up with the metaverse boom, with our clients pushing us to go beyond traditional ads and build custom experiences for them. This culminated with Facebook rebranding into Meta, and following our Series B, we decided to pivot as a metaverse company and rebranded to Landvault following an acquisition. We survived the metaverse winter, where we lost most of our revenues pretty much overnight, and made a bet on the Middle East to find a new segment of customers, mainly government entities from the UAE or Saudi Arabia. Over the past 18 months, we have locked in large government contracts and built a product focused on their use cases, with hosting capabilities, advanced analytics, advertising solutions, and an AI-powered tool to build environments faster.

As we look into the future, one thing has never been more certain: our thesis rings truer today than ever. The growth of gaming technologies, 3D content, and AI as a major catalyst are making immersive worlds easier than ever to create, consume, and monetize. As the physical world continues to blend with the digital world, and the digital world becomes 3-dimensional, we are going to see more and more immersive experiences used across all verticals, from digital twins for real estate, to live shopping assistants, virtual sports, and luxury retail.

Landvault built the infrastructure necessary to create, publish and monetize virtual experiences on the web, and support this new reality. With Infinite Reality, we find a home dedicated to the same vision, and with complementary tools that will make our platform stronger. With $350M of fresh capital, we have more resources to support the MENA market and beyond, and couldn’t be more excited!

Thanks to everyone who has supported us along the journey - my team, investors, clients, partners - this success is also your success.

This is just the beginning.
