Clear Channel Singapore launches into Decentraland metaverse

Clear Channel Singapore has announced its partnership with LandVault to bring its services into the virtual realm, Decentraland, making them the first partner in the region to launch OOH packages that will allow businesses to reach consumers in a new and potentially untapped market.

With the rise of immersive technologies like virtual reality and augmented reality, the metaverse is becoming one of the most exciting frontiers for brands planning to stay ahead of the curve. Clear Channel will have formats available in virtual public spaces within Decentraland where they get to create immersive experiences.

The areas within Decentral Games include games such as ICE poker and Diamond Hands City, the busiest areas that account for more than 60 percent of all traffic. Individuals visiting these areas play games for two to three hours per day, with more than 60 percent of them being returning visitors. The ad placements are all natively integrated with the venues. This enables both brand advertising spots and the teleportation of visitors to the advertisers’ URL or through an e-commerce store to drive engagement or transaction. The packages that are available will allow brands to connect the virtual experience to the physical world, with real-life assets.

They are now integrated with top metaverse platforms like Decentraland and Somnium Space, and the inventory can reach over 75% of audience in several metaverse venues.

“The partnership with LandVault has allowed us to incorporate the virtual world alongside the physical world, with interoperability between them. Just as how consumers make credit card transactions at physical stores, they can do the same with their virtual wallets to pay for an experience or purchase wearables in Decentraland.”  – Kelly Khoo, Chief Executive Officer, Clear Channel Singapore.

We are providing a first-mover advantage for brands who want to get onboard the meta journey and gain early adopters," she adds.

“We’ve always had the intention of bringing brand experiences to the metaverse with our In-Play technology, and through our partnership with Clear Channel Singapore, we’re able to achieve just that. This partnership is super exciting, not only because it’s another step forward for brands to reach a nascent audience, but also because it’s pushing the envelope for what’s possible in advertising.” - Samuel Huber, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, LandVault
